Questions
What is a labor condition application (LCA)?
A form an employer files with the Department of Labor before an H-1B petition, stating the job, the wage and the work location. A certified LCA is not an H-1B approval, not a visa and not a job opening.
What does a filing count tell me?
How many LCAs an employer filed for IT occupations in the period. It counts filings, not people, and one position can be filed more than once. Staffing and consulting firms often file for roles placed at client sites.
What are wage levels I to IV?
The prevailing wage level the employer chose for the role, from entry (I) to fully competent (IV). Level depends on the job requirements.
How do I ask for a correction?
Write to support@matchwire.co with the employer name and what is wrong. The numbers come straight from the DOL disclosure files, so most corrections are about the name grouping.
