Overview

MatchWire ("we", "us", "our") operates the MatchWire staffing platform and the Job Clipper browser extension. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in, we collect your name, email address, and your role within your organization.

Candidate data. Recruiters enter candidate details (name, email, phone, skills, visa status, experience, and resume content) to power job matching and resume generation.

Job data.When you clip a job, we collect the job's title, company, location, description, and URL from the job-board page you are viewing.

Usage data. We collect basic, aggregated analytics (such as feature usage and API call counts) to operate and improve the service.

How the Browser Extension Works

The Job Clipper extension:

  • Runs only on supported job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, ZipRecruiter, TechFetch, Glassdoor, and Greenhouse).
  • Uses tab navigation events solely to detect when your active tab is on a supported job-board job page, so it can show that job in the side panel and add its "Clip" button.
  • Reads the job's title, company, location, description, and URL from that active job page. It does not read content from non-job pages or from your other tabs.
  • Sends a job to your MatchWire account only when you click to clip it, over an authenticated, encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
  • Stores your login session locally in Chrome storage so you stay signed in.
  • Does not log or transmit your general browsing history, and does not sell or share your data with advertisers.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide AI-powered candidate-to-job matching.
  • Generate tailored resumes.
  • Send notifications about matches and submissions.
  • Display reports and analytics within the platform.
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the service.

Data Storage and Security

Data is stored in our database hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row-Level Security, and all access requires JWT authentication. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Each organization's data is isolated; users can only access data within their own organization and scope.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following processors:

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Azure OpenAI — AI matching and resume generation
  • Vercel — frontend hosting

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

You may request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data.
